Giving a report to the team, Vice Chairman of the district People’s Committee Nguyen Trung Thuan said that on July 26, Hoai Duc recorded a new COVID-19 infection case.
Since April 27, the district has confirmed 27 cases, including 15 detected in the community, he added.
According to Thuan, as COVID-19 cases were reported in the district, the local authorities have asked relevant agencies and People’s Committees of communes to timely trace and make the list of F1 and F2 contacts. All F1s were sampled for SAR-CoV-2 testing and were sent to the concentrated quarantine camp in Thanh Tri District.
The task forces also cordoned off and disinfected virus-affected areas, while ensuring the supply of essential goods for residents during the blockade.
In addition, the district’s health center and People’s Committees of communes have worked hard to investigate all people linked to positive cases, and tighten the management of those returning from Ho Chi Minh City and other pandemic-affected localities.
Regarding the implementation of the Hanoi mayor’s Directive 17/CT-UBND, the local authorities has directed Party organizations, agencies and units in the district to soon roll out the tasks as guided by the city.
Accordingly, the district established a command for COVID-19 prevention and control to timely lead pandemic-anti tasks in the area.
The police has cooperated with People’s Committees of communes and towns to inspect the observance of pandemic prevention and control regulations under the directive 17, and strictly handle violation cases.
Making conclusion at the working session, head of the team Vu Duc Bao said that the evolution of the pandemic in Hoai Duc District has been complicated as several COVID-19 cases were detected in the community. However, the district has taken strong measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
In order to curb the pandemic in the district, Bao asked the local government to work out a detailed plan for pandemic development response in accordance with the actual situation.
He requested the district to increase communication activities on the COVID-19 effort, raise the pandemic alert to the highest level, and apply social distancing measures under the city’s directive 17. All residents are required to stay at home and only go outside in necessary cases, and make online health declaration daily as guided by the health sector.
Bao also asked the district to set up COVID-19 checkpoints to control people among communes and towns, suspend all unnecessary services, and announce hotlines to receive people’s reports on the epidemic situation, among others.
