The event was co-chaired by Hoang Trung Hai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly deputy delegation of Hanoi; and Le Dinh Son, member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Secretary of the Ha Tinh Province Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council.
Hanoi leaders attending the conference included Ngo Thi Thanh Hang, PCC member, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Chung, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee; Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Municipal People’s Council.
Among Ha Tinh leaders were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Tran Tien Hung, and representatives of the province’s entities.
At the conference, leaders of the two localities briefed on socio-economic development, and set forth concrete cooperative contents in 2020 and following years.
Accordingly, in the first ten months of 2019, Ha Tinh’s economy grew 12.6%; total budget revenue hit nearly VND12 trillion (over US$521 million), meeting 90.1% of the plan. Meanwhile, Hanoi’s 2019 GRDP was estimated to expand 7.46%; total budget revenue was estimated at over VND264 trillion (over US$11.4 billion), up 7.4% compared to the same period last year.
According to Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tien Hung, Ha Tinh hoped Hanoi would encourage its businesses to seek investment opportunities in the province, especially in Vung Ang Economic Zone, focusing on fields of processing industry, supporting industry, agro, forestry and fishery processing, trade, services and logistics.
He expected Hanoi would create optimal conditions to the businesses to sell high quality farm produce of Ha Tinh in the city while supporting the province in promoting the image of Ha Tinh among domestic and international visitors.

Hung also wished Hanoi to pay attention and give assistance to hospitals in Ha Tinh to develop new technologies in health examination and treatment.
Besides, the province wanted the city to share experience in planning, urban development, smart city, e-government, administrative reform, apparatus streamlining, among others, he added.
The two sides had a discussion about organizing cultural events, implementing the autonomy mechanism in public non-business units, building waste-to-energy power plants, planning and developing craft villages into tourist destination.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung shared experience in investment attraction and promotion.
Regarding new style rural area building, Chung said that Hanoi has given priority to rural clean water supply.
To expand tourism in craft villages, Hanoi has created the best possible conditions for the villages to join investment promotion activities abroad, aiming to promote their image, he underlined.
Addressing the conference, Secretary of the Ha Tinh Province Party Committee Le Dinh Son said the province is adjusting its socio-economic development planning in association with elaborating the provincial Party congress’ document.
Thus, Ha Tinh wanted consult with Hanoi on the tasks, he added.
Son also urged the two localities to soon roll out cooperative contents set forth at the conference.
Making conclusion at the event, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai congratulated Ha Tinh on its impressive achievements in recent years.
Hai assigned functional agencies to carry out cooperative contents and give periodic reports on the outcomes.
Firstly, the two sides will closely work to organize a ceremony marking the 200th death anniversary of great poet Nguyen Du in 2020, Hai stressed.
