At the meeting, eight voters expressed their concern about burning issues in the city. They also highly appreciated the success of the sixth meeting of the Municipal People’s Council as well as the results of the city’s socio-economic development in the first half of 2018.
Especially, the voters recognized and lauded deputies’ straightforward opinions about concerned issues at face-to-face question-and-answer sessions.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung thanked voters for their attentions to the sixth meeting and pledged that the city will strictly receive their feedback opinions so as to ask relevant departments, sectors to handle soon.
Voter Nguyen Phi Tinh (Cua Nam Ward) recommended that the city should check long-delayed construction projects and revoke violating projects.
Regarding the matter, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung said that in the first quarter of the year, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai had a working session with the Department of Investment and Planning to remove difficulties and problems to speed up key projects.
He noted that the city assigned the Department of Investment and Planning and leaders of districts, towns to review delayed projects and announce them in the third quarter.
Answering voters’ questions about proper compensation for land clearance of the Nhon – Ha Noi Railway Station Line, the Chairman said that the city will assign the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Land Clearance Board to research and give a written reply.
At the meeting, voter Tran Thi Hong (Hang Bai Ward) voiced her concern about the implementation of Resolution No. 18 of the Party Central Committee’s 6th plenum. Regarding the matter, Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung gave information of arrangement of its apparatus over the past time.

According to the Chairman, Ha Noi has basically completed the arrangement in the spirit of Resolution 39 of the Politburo.
In the coming time, the city will continue reviewing medical centers of districts, suburban districts and towns; converting five non-business units into joint stock companies to implement autonomy mechanism, etc.
Besides, other voters also showed their deep concern over burning issues, such as installation of pure drinking water taps around lakes and on streets; waste collection and treatment; quality and cost of International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, etc.
At the meeting, the city leader also received feedback opinions about shortcomings in traffic on Lo Su Street. The Chairman assigned the Department of Transport and the Police Department to check and handle violation cases.
