The meeting was held in a virtual format from Ba Dinh district to 53 wards of three districts with more than 2,400 voters.
Attending the meeting from Ba Dinh district included Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - Hanoi chapter Nguyen Lan Huong.
The electoral unit No.1 has five candidates, including General Secretary of the CPV Nguyen Phu Trong, Director of Hanoi’s Planning and Architecture Department Nguyen Truc Anh; Commander of the Hanoi Capital High Command Major General Nguyen Quoc Duyet; Vice Principal of Hoang Van Thu High School Nguyen Thi Ha Tuyen and researcher Vu Tien Vuong from the Vietnam Agriculture Academy.
During the meeting, voters were briefed on the short bio of each candidate, as well as their action plans in case they are elected as deputies for the 15th National Assembly for the 2021-2026 term.
All candidates expressed their honor of being nominated to stand for the upcoming general elections, saying they are committed to dedicating their efforts to fulfill the role of deputies of the National Assembly.
“Given my experience as Chairman of the National Assembly and its deputy, I will try my best to contribute to the development of the country and timely resole voters’ concern,” said Trong.
All voters from three districts of Ba Dinh, Dong Da and Hai Ba Trung agreed that all candidates have met criteria to run for the National Assembly election.
Voters hoped General Secretary of the CPV Nguyen Phu Trong would continue strong efforts against corruption, and continue addressing concern of the public.
