Visiting a COVID-19 vaccination site in Hang Tre Ward, and working with the district Command for COVID-19 prevention and control, Tuan highly spoke of the local administration’s strict observance of pandemic prevention regulations.
He asked the district to better carry out six major tasks relating to the COVID-19 effort, while underlining the fact that the municipal authorities issued guiding documents on strong measures to contain the disease in the area.
According to him, Hoan Kiem should strictly follow Conclusion 420-KL/TU, Official Letter 177-CV/TU of the municipal Party Committee’s Standing Board, and Directive 17/CT-UBND of the municipal People’s Committee on applying social distancing measures under the Prime Minister’s Directive 16 throughout the city in order to prevent the spread of the virus.
It is necessary for the district to promote operational efficiency of COVID-19 community-based groups in tracing close contacts and supervising those who are under home quarantine.
The competent authorities must strengthen communication on the central and the city’s directions, especially the directive 17, while calling out local residents to stay at home and only go outside in necessary cases.
Tuan asked functional forces to enhance inspection and impose hash punishments on those violating pandemic prevention and control rules.
Hoan Kiem needs to review operation of supermarkets and markets to ensure the supply of basic necessities for the people.
Regarding COVID-19 vaccination, the council official urged the district to ensure the safety for the vaccinated peoples.
Tuan also requested the local authorities to effectively implement policies to support employers and employees amid the COVID-19 breakout in line with the law.
