People coming to Hanoi from HCMC required to undergo quarantine at home (21:40 12/10/2021)

HNP -  The Hanoi People's Committee issued Official Letter No. 3487/UBND-DT on October 11 on the pilot resumption of regular domestic flights to and from the capital city.

Accordingly, Hanoi lifted its quarantine mandate after reaching an agreement with the Ministry of Transport under which only one return flight  will be conducted per day until October 20 with planes carrying only 50% of their passenger capacity.
Passengers from Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) and Danang City once arriving in Hanoi will not have to undergo centralized quarantine for a week.
The passengers will only be required to monitor their health at home for seven days at home. However, those coming from high-risk areas will have to self-monitor their health for 14 days and will be tested on the second and seventh days.
The municipal authorities assigned People's Committees in districts and township to compile the list of arriving passengers for isolation and health observation at home and help health workers to take samples for testing.
Meanwhile, Department of Transport, Department of Public Security, Department of Health, and Department of Tourism will be tasked to work with relevant units to deal with arising problems and report issues beyond their authority to the municipal People's Committee for guidance.
Previously, the Hanoi authorities agreed to resume regular flights between the capital city and Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang with one round trip per day on each route.
Passengers from Ho Chi Minh City must be fully vaccinated, with the last dose administered at least 14 days prior to the departure date, or show certificates of having recovered from COVID-19 within no more than six months.
Upon arrival in Hanoi, such passengers have to quarantine at public quarantine facilities or designated hotels for seven days, during which they will be required to cover the quarantine and testing costs.
After that they will continue to monitor their health at home for another seven days.
Passengers from Da Nang are allowed to quarantine at home and get tested on the first and seventh days.
