Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan said: "The project to build the underpass at the intersection of Le Van Luong - Ring 3 is one of the key transport projects in the city. After nearly 2 years of construction, despite facing many difficulties, but with the efforts of the investor, the construction units, departments and branches of Hanoi, authorities and people of Thanh Xuan and Nam Tu Liem districts, all work items of the investment project have been completed and ready to be put into operation and use".
“The inauguration of the project today has a very important meaning, promptly solving traffic jams, facilitating and shortening the time for vehicles to pass through the intersection. On behalf of the City's leaders, I warmly commend and appreciate the efforts of the City's departments, agencies, People's Committees of Thanh Xuan, Nam Tu Liem districts, the Investor, contractors and workers, those have overcome many difficulties and worked hard on the construction site to complete the project on schedule, ensuring quality, aesthetics and safety” - Tuan emphasized.
Through this, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee expressed his deep thanks to the leaders of the Government, leaders of the Ministry of Transport, relevant ministries, departments and agencies for always paying attention, directing closely, supporting and sharing with Hanoi during the implementation of key transport projects in the area over the past time.
In order for the project to be put into operation to promote investment efficiency, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan suggested that the City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board complete the testing work, payment and settlement of complementary items according to the schedule, process and procedures as prescribed; the Department of Transport, the Department of Construction, the Department of Information and Communications, the People's Committee of Thanh Xuan District, the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District would jointly coordinate in operating the items including roads, underpasses and technical infrastructure such as trees, lighting, drainage, water supply, system of trenches, technical tunnels ... to carry out maintenance and ensure traffic safety.
City leaders also requested the Department of Transport to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with the City Police in, studying traffic organization at this intersection and on Le Van Luong - To Huu and Khuat Duy Tien roads to ensure the efficiency of the project.
Thanh Xuan District People's Committee, Nam Tu Liem District People's Committee organize propaganda to mobilize people to comply with the law provisions on ensuring traffic order and safety; strengthen the management of urban order, embellish the streets to ensure urban beauty.
On this occasion, the Hanoi People's Committee rewarded units and individuals with achievements in the process of implementing the project to build the underpass at the intersection of Le Van Luong – Ring road No. 3.
"Once completed, the project will solve the frequent traffic jams at the intersection of Le Van Luong - Ring road No.3, timely contribute to gradually completing the framework traffic infrastructure of Hanoi according to planning, creating urban landscapes and promoting socio-economic development of the capital," said the director of the Project Management Board of the traffic construction investment projects in Hanoi.
