The event saw the attendance of Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc; Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen; Deputy Minister of War Labour and Social Affairs Le Van Thanh; Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Pham Tan Cong; and leaders of relevant ministries and ministerial-level sectors.
In attendance were representatives of embassies, international organizations, and business associations, along with FDI firms operating in the capital city.
Among Hanoi's leaders joining the meeting were Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung; member of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Permanent Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen; PCC member, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Chu Ngoc Anh; Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan; Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong.
At the meeting, the municipal authorities briefed the participants on the city's socio-economic development and results of the recent settlement of problems FDI businesses encountered.
The meeting is an occasion for local authorities to learn about obstacles to FDI enterprises’ operations and inform them of solutions to be carried out in the time ahead, especially as Hanoi is entering a “new normal” period after the situation of COVID-19 improves.
It also serves as a chance for Hanoi to attract more investment, while affirming that the municipal authorities always accompany businesses and strive to seek solutions to remove difficulties facing the business community amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and support them in expanding production in the coming time.
