The event saw the attendance of Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Chu Xuan Dung, and Director of the municipal Department of Health Tran Thi Nhi Ha.
At the ceremony, Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO) contributed 300,000 COVID-19 test kits, 30 ambulances and 30 mobile vaccination vehicles totaling VND84 billion. The municipal health sector also contributed over VND1.314 billion to the vaccine fund.
Also at the event, the VFF's municipal chapter handed over the above-mentioned medical equipment to the municipal Department of Health.
Chairwoman of the VFF's municipal Committee Nguyen Lan Huong treasured the help of agencies and businesses in Hanoi's pandemic prevention and control as the capital city changes the anti-pandemic strategy from "Zero COVID" to "Safe and flexible adaptation and effective control of the COVID-19 pandemic".
The city has tried its best to realize the dual task of containing the pandemic and boosting socio-economic development, she added.
The VFF's municipal committee chairwoman pledged that the donations will be distributed in a transparent and efficient manner, contributing to curbing the spread of the pandemic in the capital.
Huong expected that agencies, enterprises and organizations would continue to make their donations in support of the city's COVID-19 battle, while expressing her belief that with the solidarity of the people, Vietnam and Hanoi in particular would soon stamp out the pandemic, bringing the people’s life to the new normal.
