Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung said the key priority is to prevent the spread of Covid-19 to local community.
According to Dung, the fourth Covid-19 outbreak targeted key strongholds in realizing dual targets of both containing the pandemic and boosting economic recovery, including health facilities and industrial parks.
In Hanoi, two hospitals of the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases No.2 at Dong Anh district and K Hospital - Tan Trieu facility at Thanh Tri district, were forced to be put under quarantine.
The Covid-19 pandemic also affected operation of health facilities in the district, including the National Lung Hospital, the Viet-Xo Friendship Hospital, among others.
Being aware of the serious situation of the fourth Covid-19 outbreak, Hanoi People’s Committee identified the key priority is to combat Covid-19 pandemic with the participation of the entire political system.
“Hanoi’s leaders and people are grateful to the efforts and sacrifice of frontline workers, especially medical staffs, police and military personnel,” said Dung.
However, as the Covid-19 pandemic remains serious, Hanoi would continue to protect lives of the people and prevent local transmission.
Dung called for solidarity from the public along with strict compliance with the anti-Covid-19 regulations.
The Hanoi’s Party chief called for leaders of hospitals and facilities to raise awareness on the Covid-19 fight.
Dung suggested the city to work with industrial parks to ensure safety in operation and timely identify Covid-19 cases.
