At the ceremony, four businesses and units handed over more than VND10 billion (over US$434,000) in financial support as well as other medical supplies. They included MEDICON Company contributing 100,000 COVID-19 test kits worth over VND9.9 billion; Hanoi Red Cross Society and Nakagawa Chemical Equipment Co., Ltd. giving VND50 million each; and Lien Son Thang Long Company supporting mobile houses for six COVID-19 checkpoints totaling VND60 million.
Also at the ceremony, the VFF’s Hanoi Committee transferred 116,000 test kits and two ventilators to the Department of Health.
Addressing the event, VFF’s municipal Committee Chairman Nguyen Lan Huong thanked to organizations, businesses and philanthropists for their contributions to the fight against COVID-19 epidemic.
She pledged to deliver the donations in a swift and transparent manner.
