Son Tay Town safely and flexibly adapts to the COVID-19 pandemic (17:31 22/10/2021)


HNP -  A working delegation led by Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)'s Hanoi Committee Nguyen Lan Huong on October 21 inspected the implementation of Directive No.08  of the municipal Party Committee and Dispatch No.21 of the municipal People's Committee in Son Tay Town.

In realizing the municipal authorities' guidelines on safe adaptation to the COVID-19 pandemic, the town has disseminated the new documents and consolidated its task forces specializing in pandemic prevention and control.
 
Additionally, the local authority has proactively updated the COVID-19 situation and taken effective measures to achieve the dual goal of containing the pandemic and boosting economic recovery and development, striving to fulfill all socio-economic targets set for 2021.  
 
The township has also kept the operation of 686 community-based COVID-19 teams and 17 mobile medical stations, while expanding safe residence models in villages and residential areas to prevent the spread of the virus.
 
Especial attention has beenpaid to ensuring the sufficient supply of essential goods to local people amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
 
Meanwhile, communes and wards have implemented pandemic prevention and control measures in line with real situations. At the same time, communal authorities have facilitated business and production activities for local economic recovery.

Together with COVID-19 vaccination progress as well as close management of high-risk people, local authorities have regularly conducted checks on pandemic prevention work at business establishments to minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19 in the area.
 
With regard to social welfare, Son Tay has delivered the support worth over VND12 billion to people facing difficulties due to the pandemic in accordance with the Government's 68/NQ-CP.
 
Besides, implementing Resolution No. 15/NQ-HDND of the municipal People's Council, the town has given financial assistance totaling nearly VND6 billion to policy beneficiaries. 
 
Concluding  the working session, VFF's Hanoi Committee Chairwoman  Nguyen Lan Huong praised the town's administration for their effort in the fight against COVID-19 as the locality  has gone through 86 days in a row without  local transmissions.
 
She said in the time ahead, the town should continue to strengthen communication to raise public awareness about safe adaptation to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
Son Tay must increase the leader's primary responsibility in pandemic prevention and control, she said, urging local residents to regularly make online health declaration.
 
Huong called for full attention to conducting mass tests for returnees from COVID-19-hit localities to timely detect suspected cases, speeding up the vaccination campaign, and making preparations for the reopening of schools.
 
The municipal Front leader also asked the town to  build and implement a economic recovery plan in the reminder of the year, striving to achieve the 2021 targets.
 
The local authorities need to strictly punish those violating COVID-19 prevention and control regulations, Huong ordered.
