Delegates at the meeting.
Supervision of Party organizations and members has been improved in quality, with innovative grassroots mobilization efforts. Party leadership methods continued to modernize and strengthen, while political security management received close attention.
The district made initial progress on its cultural industry development project, diversifying promotional activities to highlight cultural, historical, and natural assets. Notable cultural and sports events included the "Hanoi Art Light Festival - Radiant Thang Long" on Lunar New Year's Eve 2024, the 2024 Hanoi Lotus Festival, and the "Green Journey - Tay Ho Lotus Colors" cycling event. These efforts enriched the district's cultural landscape, boosted tourism, and enhanced the quality of life for residents.
Speaking at the conference, Chairwoman Huong acknowledged and commended Tay Ho District's achievements in leading and implementing socio-economic development tasks in 2024.
For successful task execution in 2025 and beyond, she urged the Tay Ho Party Committee to deeply internalize the Party's guiding ideology and General Secretary To Lam's vision for a "Vietnam - Rising in a New Era". The focus included developing socio-economic and public investment plans and sectoral development strategies for 2026-2030, aligned with a "new global mindset, Hanoi-centric thinking, and strategic action."
Huong said the district must actively align with the city's 2025 agenda to execute political tasks effectively. Strong and comprehensive task implementation must commence immediately in early 2025, emphasizing Central Party Resolution No. 18 on restructuring and streamlining the political system for efficiency. The district should also rigorously implement Directive 35 and Plan 258 on leadership for Party Congresses for the 2025-2030 term, focusing on personnel preparation and congress documents with quality and efficiency.
She emphasized addressing public investment challenges to ensure the highest disbursement rates and expediting land-use auctions and cultural tourism projects to maximize district potential. Efforts to develop the cultural industry should leverage available resources. The "Bright - Green - Clean" campaign should adopt continuous, ongoing projects to enhance environmental preservation and urban culture. Residents should be mobilized to contribute to making Hanoi a green, sustainable city with happy citizens.
Leading up to the Lunar New Year, Huong urged the district to ensure preparations for a safe, economical, and inclusive holiday, with special care for disadvantaged families, policy households, veteran revolutionaries, and contributors to the nation.
"Efforts should be intensified to prevent fires, ensure food safety, control disease outbreaks, and ensure a peaceful New Year. The district should also organize activities marking the 95th anniversary of the Communist Party's founding (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the Hanoi Party Committee's establishment (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2025), celebrating in a dignified, healthy, and cost-effective manner alongside the Spring Festival and other major holidays of 2025," she said.
