On the occasion of preparing to welcome the 2023 Lunar New Year, Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu sent his best wishes for a healthy and successful New Year to the Party Committee, Government and People of Hanoi. He also expressed his thanks to the municipal leaders for their  support to the Buddhist Congress at the district-, town- and city levels, contributing to the success of the national 9^th Buddhist Congress.

Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu said the Buddhist Sangha at all levels is organizing many charity activities to contribute to the implementation of social security policies with the authorities.

In welcoming  the delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong said that 2022 is an important milestone for Hanoi, especially in ensuring the implementation of the "dual goal" of both prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic and pushing for socio-economic development.

Phong said the success of the city in realizing development objectives in 2022 was partly thanks to the contributions of the community of monks, nuns and Buddhists.

Ahead of the 2023 Lunar New Year, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong sent his best wishes to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha as well as the community of monks, nuns and Buddhist followers; at the same time, he hoped that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha will continue to promote the tradition of good life and good faith, to join hands with the government and people of the city in building a rich, beautiful and civilized capital.
