At the reception, Homer P. David expressed his thank to the city authorities for their attention to the activities of the LDS Church in Hanoi and Vietnam.
He informed the Chairman that the church’s President is scheduled to pay his first-ever visit to Vietnam in November.
For his part, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung affirmed Hanoi always welcomes delegations of the LDS Church.
He highly appreciated the LDS Church’s activities in Vietnam in general and Hanoi in particular.
Hanoi pays attention to the LDS Church’s humanitarian laundry center in Utah, Chung said, hoping that the capital city will study and intensify exchange with Utah to build a similar facility in Vietnam.
The city official also hoped that Hanoi will also work with Utah in fields of smart health care and education.
