The 44th Open Hanoimoi Run for Peace launched (22:06 27/03/2017)


HNP – A ceremony responding to Olympic Run Day for All People's Health 2017 and launching the 44th Open Hanoimoi (New Ha Noi) Run for Peace was held on March 26 at Ly Thai To Flower Garden, Hoan Kiem District.


Delegates and local residents run around Hoan Kiem Lake to respond to the event, Ha Noi, March 26.


Attending the event were Deputy Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism Le Khanh Hai; Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Ngo Van Quy and 7,000 state officials, heads of ministries, branches and agencies, artists, students and Hanoians.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy stressed that the Olympic Run Day for All People's Health is a practical action to promote the value of President Ho Chi Minh’s thought on sports and physical training, as well as to communicate the international Olympic ideal on solidarity and friendship, promote healthy lifestyle and raise public awareness on the importance of physical exercise for people’s general health and wellbeing. During March 2017, 100 percent of districts, towns and wards in the city responded to this event, attracting the participation of over 350 thousand people.

On the occasion, the 44th Open Hanoimoi Run for Peace was launched. The tournament has become a popular public sports event attracting people from all walks of life and international friends who are working or studying in Ha Noi.

Right after the ceremony, the delegates and local residents ran around Hoan Kiem Lake in an ebullient atmosphere.
