In the first quarter, the district stably maintained socio-economic development, national defense, security and gained many remarkable achievements against the same period last year. Particularly, the total production value was estimated at VND2,279.7 billion, posting a year-on-year increase of 7.17%, in which, the value of agricultural production reached VND769 billion; industry - services was over VND600 billion; the rest was from commerce - services.

In addition, the district asked communes, towns, specialized agencies to implement a plan on ensuring traffic safety as well as monitor, review and handle violation cases of traffic safety corridor. Especially, on March 10, the district simultaneously removed violations, made records of 134 cases, handled 399 illegal roofs and more than 400 advertisement boards. Besides, the district also well carried out social welfare policies, poverty reduction, job creation, gratitude movements.

In the coming time, the district will continue strengthening the implementation of the new-style rural program as planned; striving to get four additional communes meeting new rural criteria in 2017; accelerating land clearance and implementing basic construction works; carrying out the program on concretizing rural traffic routes; timely solving regimes, policies on social welfare, preferential policies for revolutionary contributors; boosting administrative reform, national defense, security, social safety and order in the area.
