Over the past 20 years, the district has paid attention to developing sport movements. Thanks to the movements, a variety of sport clubs have been established, such as: badminton, martial arts, football, volleyball, outdoor health, tennis, etc.
At present, the district has one national gymnasium, eight cultural centers in eight wards, 10 training houses, ten football fields, 60 tennis courses, eight volleyball courts, one golf mini course, 70 outdoor playgrounds. All schools have training and multi-purpose physical houses. Especially, the district has installed enough facilities for 70 outdoor playgrounds to serve local people in the area.
In 2016, the district spent VND12.815 billion to repair, build eight outdoor playgrounds to meet people’s needs in the area.
In 2017, the district strives to fulfill targets, including: 100% of schools will be recognized as excellent status in sports; 100% of agencies, units, armed forces will get excellent title in sports; 40% of population and 31% of households will particularly do physical exercises; organizing free swimming courses for between 1,500-2,100 children in the area, etc.
At the ceremony, the Ha Noi Department of Culture and Sports presented flags to 20 outstanding agencies, units, schools. The district also honored 42 outstanding units having excellent sport achievements.
