Hanoi Party chief visits social beneficiary families in Gia Lam district (08:51 14/01/2023)


HNP - On January 13, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Head of the Hanoi National Assembly delegation Dinh Tien Dung visited and presented gifts to  families on welfare, disadvantaged households and workers in Gia Lam district ahead of Tet.  



Participating in the delegation were representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, a number of departments, agencies and branches of Hanoi and Gia Lam district.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung encouraged and gave Tet gifts to 50 disadvantaged households in Gia Lam district and 50 workers of Stanley Vietnam Electric that attain excellent achievements in production activities.

In addition, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front presented 200 gifts to families in difficult circumstances in Gia Lam district. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also gave 200 gifts to workers in the district.

Stanley Vietnam Electric, established in 1996, is a joint venture between Japan, Thailand and Hanoi Housing Development and Investment Corporation, specializing in manufacturing and trading lights and components for cars, motorcycles, and electronic products.

The company's factory is located in  an area of 14 hectares in Phu Thi Industrial Park, Gia Lam district, creating jobs for 2,400 workers in the area. In 2022, the company's revenue reached VND5.3 trillion, an increase of 18% compared to 2021; paid tax over VND928 billion; the average income of employees is VND20 million/person/month.

During Lunar New Year 2023, the company held a year-end party for all employees, while the Tet bonus for workers is about 3.6 months' salary; it gave Tet gifts to all workers, each worth VND500,000, and to 50 excellent union members, each of whom received VND1 million.

Recognizing and appreciating the production and business results of Stanley Vietnam Electric, Secretary of the City Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung informed some outstanding results of the capital in 2022. Specifically, the city comprehensively completed all socio-economic targets, with 5 exceeding the plan. Total state budget revenue in the area reached VND332 trillion, equaling 106.8% of the estimate, of which domestic revenue reached VND303 trillion.

The city's gross domestic product (GRDP) in 2022 is estimated to expand by 8.89% year on year (higher than the national average of 8.02%), which is the highest growth rate in the last 10 years. The size of Hanoi's economy is VND1,200 trillion, equivalent to about $50 billion. Total social investment capital reached VND468 trillion, up 13.9% over the previous year, while GRDP per capita stood at VND141.8 million, an increase of VND13.6 million compared to 2021.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung affirmed that the comprehensive results achieved in the past year have had important contributions from the people of the capital and the business community in general, including Stanley Vietnam Electric.

On the occasion of the new year, Secretary of the City Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung sent his best wishes to every staff and employees of Stanley Vietnam Electric, hoping them to continue to achieve greater results, contributing to the city's comprehensive completion of the set targets and tasks in 2023.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung requested Stanley Vietnam’s Board of Directors as well as mass organizations such as trade unions and youth unions of the company to continue to take good care of workers' lives; at the same time, ensure production safety; pay attention to training and improving skills for workers; build harmonious and progressive relationships in the enterprise.
