Hanoi commends exemplary teachers (20:02 15/11/2022)


HNP - On November 14, at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Culture Palace, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2022).  



At the event, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong asked all teachers to promote their good qualities, uphold the pure moral example of the teacher with determination and effort to be worthy of the honor as a teacher in the capital. In this regard, Hanoi's education and training sector is determined to successfully complete the tasks of the 2022-2023 school year.

On this occasion, delegates and teachers reviewed the construction and development trajectory as well as proud milestones of the education and training sector in Hanoi through a report entitled "40 Years - A Mark of a Long Journey".

Speaking at the commendation ceremony, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh emphasized: "The comprehensive results of the education and training sector in the capital over the past 40 years are clear evidence, recognition and affirmation of the determination, effort, perseverance and excellent fulfillment of the tasks of generations of teachers, officials, civil servants and employees of the whole sector".

"In this solemn tribute ceremony, in addition to praising and rewarding many teachers who are outstanding examples and teachers of the Capital in 2022 and the period 1982 - 2022, we also recognize many examples of teachers, throughout the generations, who have they have silently dedicated day and night, silently sacrificing themselves for the noble cause of human cultivation. "Be deferential to teachers and respect their morals", "Eat the fruit, remember the person who planted the tree" is the principle held in mind by generations of Vietnamese.It also expresses the belief and aspiration of the whole society towards teachers, requiring each teacher to constantly  cultivate morale, improve professional qualification to perform their tasks well, to be worthy of the honor "Teaching is a of the noblest professions, and the most creative of all creative professions." On this occasion, on behalf of the leaders of the city of Hanoi, I want to express my gratitude, acknowledgment and appreciation for the contributions of teachers  who have diligently dedicated themselves to the cause of "human cultivation" of the capital and the country" - said the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh.

Thanh requested the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, in the coming time to focus on implementing three key tasks: First, promote the achieved results, continue to innovate strongly, more comprehensively to continuously improve the quality of education and training. Second, focus on fostering expertise and knowledge to improve professional qualifications for management staff and teachers. Along with the development of educational scale, continue to implement solutions to improve the quality of education comprehensively such as: moral education, life skills, creative capacity, practical capacity, foreign language and computer skills; meet the demand for human resources, especially highly qualified human resources to serve the development of the capital and the country. Third, actively and proactively advise the City People's Committee on mechanisms and policies in the field of education and training in the direction of ensuring financial autonomy and self-responsibility in educational institutions; develop policies to draw private resources in  education and ensure equality among different types of education; attract all social resources and bring into play the potential of intellectuals to build a learning society, develop a knowledge-based economy to practically serve the requirements of industrialization and modernization of the Capital.

With these achievements, at the ceremony, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung and Standing Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization Pham Tat Thang presented the First Class Labor Medal to the Long Bien District Education and Training Department; awarded the Second-class Labor Medal to 3 collectives (including Hoang Mai District Education and Training Department, Phan Huy Chu - Dong Da High School and Viet Duc High School);   the Third Class Labor Medal to 1 collective and 1 individual (Hai Ba Trung District Education and Training Department and Doan Thi Kieu Oanh, Chief Inspector of Hanoi Department of Education and Training).
