Proactively prepare emergency response plan to guarantee national cyber security (20:16 25/03/2017)


HNP - The Prime Minister signed Decision 05/2017/QD-TTg dated March 16, issuing regulations on emergency response plans to guarantee national cyber security.


Accordingly, Steering Committees for Information Technology Application of ministries, ministry-level agencies, agencies under the Government, and People’s Committees of provinces and cities under the Central Government act as Steering Committees for Emergency Response to cyber incidents in the areas and sectors under their management.

In case of lacking Steering Committees for Information Technology Application or in special cases, the ministries, ministry-level agencies, agencies under the Government and People’s Committees of provinces and cities under the Central Government establish Steering Committees for Emergency Response to Cyber Incidents. The Steering Committees are directly led by heads of ministries or People’s Committees at provincial level.  

Specialized information safety agencies or specialized information technology agencies of ministries, sectors or People’s Committees at provincial level are responsible for responding to cyber security incidents.

 

Enterprises in the fields of communications and internet, agencies, organizations and enterprises which manage important information technology system establish units specialized for cyber security incident response, or assign such units.

The specialized units are responsible for setting up response teams, handling incidents in the areas under their management, taking part in response activities to ensure information security of national network upon demand of the standing agencies or coordinating agencies.
