Dan Phuong District launches the Action Year of Food Safety and Hygiene in Agriculture (15:24 04/04/2017)
Accordingly, along with strengthening communication and popularization on food safety law to encourage, create favorable conditions for local people, enterprises to jointly invest in chains of production and trading of safe agricultural products, the district will focus on preventing, drastically handling illegal transportation, trade, use of banned substances, antibiotics abuse in animal husbandry, aquaculture; reorganizing slaughter, transportation, trade of meat to minimize pollution by harmful microorganisms.
In addition, the district also sets up following key targets by the end of 2017: reducing 10% of microbiological contamination in meat against last year; 100% of officials in charge will be enriched with knowledge of food safety; 100% of cases which do not meet food safety standards will be investigated and handled timely; 50% of facilities producing and trading foods will take part in training courses on properly practicing food safety skills; the rate of facilities meeting full food safety standards will witness a year-on year increase of 15%, etc.
