In order to enhance the fight against smuggling, commercial fraud and fake products, Permanent Vice Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh urges ministries, sectors, localities and authorities to take drastic measures as following:

- Analyze and assess burning issues, focusing on hot spots of smuggling, commercial fraud and fake products, heads of the smuggling, fraud rings and their methods; build mechanism for authorities to promptly, accurately exchange information and comprehensively cooperate in the fight against smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeit goods, hence taking drastic measures to stop and eliminate smuggling rings, commercial fraud, production of fakes and tax evasion;

- Increase inspection and examination; specify responsibility of leader in each locality and sector; change work position or suggest change/ replacement of work position, if leaders of the units are unable to fulfill their tasks and handle violations of smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeit products occurring in the fields under their management, or leaders are suspected of supporting smuggling, commercial fraud and production of fakes; build strong and transparent forces for the fight against smuggling, commercial fraud and production of fakes;

- Further improve investment and business environment, enhance administrative procedure reform, apply science and technology, improve method and process of management, and reduce cost and raise quality of products, hence meeting demand of the domestic market; give priority to socio-economic development in remote areas and border areas, hence contributing to stabilizing life of the locals and preventing them from taking part in smuggling and illegal transport of goods across borders;

- Check and complete legal regulations to solve problems and overlapping activities in management; review and amend policies on export and import in small volume; promote international cooperation, and proactively cooperate with organizations and brands worldwide to combat counterfeit products and intellectual property infringement; highlight task of fighting fakes and oods infringing intellectual property rights as the key mission in the next months.
