Cu Da is located in Cu Khe Commune, Thanh Oai District of Ha Noi. The village has characters of a Vietnamese village with hundred-year-old banyan-trees, rivers, ponds, village wells and ancient mossy walls. Visitors can see the vaulted gates, village roads laid with slanting bricks, old houses in ancient Vietnamese styles, villas in French styles and also newly-built ones. There are about two hundred old houses both in Vietnamese and French architecture; 60 of them remain almost unchanged. Houses in Cu Da are low and deep in length, so they are always cool in summer and warm in winter.

The cultural characters of Cu Da are also highlighted by constructions like temples, pagodas and shrines. Pagoda of the ancient village, Linh Minh Tu, is one of its two relics that are recognized as national historical sites. Xa Tac Worship Ritual, the village altar to worship “earth and heaven”, is considered as the most beautiful worship place preserved so far. Built in early 20th century, the place was made from precious stones with symbols of four sacred creatures, including dragon, unicorn, tortoise and phoenix. It was used for the worship of the God of Land and the God of Farming.

There are also Vietnamese houses which were built a century ago. The most significant one is the house of Trinh The Sung, which dates back to 1874. It features typical architectural art of the Nguyen Dynasty with sophisticated patterns on the doors.
