Step 1: The agency/organization wishing to extend visas, residence for foreigners who are working in their units shall fully prepare the dossier in accordance with the regulations and submit it at the One-Stop-Shop of the Department for Foreign Affairs, and take the receipt with an appointment of the result return (one (01) working day).

Step 2: Specialized divisions handle the dossier, submit it to the Department's leaders for signing the documents and send it to the Exit and Entry Management Department of the Ministry of Public Security (one (01) working day).

Step 3: One-Stop-Shop gives the outcome to units (one (01) working day)

a) Content of the dossier

- Application for stay extension (form of the  Immigration Department – Ministry of Public Security provided by the Ha Noi Department for Foreign Affairs);

- A certified copy of the Establishment Decision of the unit (If any);

- Report of the agency/organization on working records of the foreigners during their time in Ha Noi;

- A certified copies of Economic Contracts, Commercial Contracts of foreign employees who signed with agencies and organizations of Ha Noi. For people who work under ODA projects, they must be certified by their managing agencies;

- A certified copy of Work Permit issued by the Ha Noi Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (or official document for Work Permit Exemption of Ha Noi Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs for foreigners who are exempt from work permit requirement according to the law).

b) Number of the dossier: one (01) set.
