| Where to submit | Where to lodge Option 1: The applicant submits dossier directly to the Ha Noi Department of Justice. Option 2: If the applicant is minor, or has lost/ has limited capacity for civil act, his/her dossier will be submitted by his/her father, mother or guardian to the Ha Noi Department of Justice. Option 3: Dossier can be submitted via postal service; papers must be certified by a competent authority according to the law. | Objects | 1. Applicant as Vietnamese citizen, who, for some reasons, has foreign citizenship since January 7, 2009, and has not renounced Vietnamese citizenship yet; he/she is still living in Ha Noi; 2. If the applicant is Vietnamese citizen having foreign citizenship, who registered his/ her birth at the Ha Noi Department of Justice and now is living in Ha Noi, the Ha Noi Department of Justice will also note the birth registration. If the applicant is Vietnamese citizen having foreign citizenship, who did not register his/ her birth at the Ha Noi Department of Justice and now living in Ha Noi, the Ha Noi Department of Justice will inform the agency that fulfilled birth registration of the applicant previously, so that the latter will note the birth registration. |

| Other requirements | 1. Applicant having Vietnamese citizenship and foreign citizenship, who has not lost Vietnamese citizenship since January 7, 2009. 2. In two years since having foreign citizenship, Vietnamese citizen having foreign citizenship must inform the representation of Viet Nam or Department of Justice about their foreign citizenship. 3. If the dossier is sent via postal service, papers in the dossier must be certified by a competent authority according to the law. 4. Papers in the dossier issued by foreign authorities must be legally formalized; papers in foreign language must be translated into Vietnamese and certified by a competent authority according to the law. |
