The most notable spots in the street are Giang Café and Lam Café.
Giang Café is hidden on a small lane of Nguyen Huu Huan Street in the city’s Old Quarter. It was founded by Mr. Nguyen Giang in 1946, when he was working as a bartender for the famous five-star Sofitel Legend Metropole Ha Noi hotel. The most famous product is egg coffee; ingredients include chicken egg yolk, Vietnamese coffee powder, sweetened condensed milk, butter and cheese. It can be served warm of cold with ice.
Another famous coffee shop is Café Lam. Many prominent artists of Viet Nam often spent their time here, and the owner was generous enough to offer them his coffee on credit. In return, the indebted artists pay him with some oil, water color or silk paintings; gradually, the coffee shop became a gallery of important painters.
Apart from the famous two cafés, there are so many other coffee shops in various styles on the street, and Xoi Yen - the famous shop selling sticky rice with delicious toppings.
