This is the third consecutive year (2015, 2016, 2017) the Viet Nam Museum of Ethnology has received the noble award from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The title aims to honor the top destinations which were favored the most by visitors and travel companies in the last year.
In 2017, the Viet Nam Museum of Ethnology opened many exhibitions such as Heart & Soul by artist N.R. Deniale, an exhibition featuring Australia’s legendary Canning road, and “Raffaello: Opera Omnia”.
In addition, the museum has also organized many activities preserving cultural heritages in a diverse and vivid manner, through the programs celebrating the Lunar New Year, International Children’s Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival.
The Viet Nam Museum of Ethnology offers an insight into the 54 different ethnic groups of Viet Nam. It is widely considered to be the finest modern museum and a tourist attraction in Ha Noi. Opened at the end of 1997, the museum is located at Nguyen Van Huyen Street, Cau Giay District. It covers around 13,200 square meters and is divided into three sections: indoor and outdoor areas introduce 54 Vietnamese ethnic minorities, and an exhibition area presents Southeast Asian culture.
In 2014, TripAdvisor named the Viet Nam Museum of Ethnology a Travelers’ Choice Museum and one of the top 25 most attractive museums in Asia.
