HNP - Ha Noi is famously home to some of the most incredible street food in the world. The following is a list of some of the most street foods that have become a part of summer in Ha Noi.



Khuc Bach sweet cheese tofu


“Che Khuc Bach” is a cold dessert believed to originate from Hong Kong with buttery cubes of "cheese tofu," preserved longans or lychee, and silvered almonds. The cubes are the main part made from cheese, milk, cream and gelatin powder to create a soft and chewy texture. Unlike other desserts that are usually sweet, this dish has a milder taste. The dessert made a storm first in Saigon, and has slowly won the hearts of many people across the nation due to its refreshing taste.

 


There are many dessert shops serving "Che Khuc Bach." You can try some at 33 Quang Trung Street, 9 Tran Phu Street and 93 Hang Bac Street.


Durian sweet soup


 If you are a durian lover, this is a must try dessert because the richness of durian goes well with other fruits, ice, and jellies.

 

You can visit 18 Huynh Thuc Khang Street, 7 Hoang Minh Giam Street or 33 Han Thuyen Street to try out one of Ha Noi’s unique dessert.


Rau Cau


Rau Cau is a food that everybody like it, the common Rau Cau in Ha Noi is Coconut Rau Cau, coz coconut has sweet taste and good smell, easy to combine with jelly powder. Visitors could find coconut Rau Cau in every drink shop or small street shops in Ha Noi.

 


in addition to coconut, Ha Noi’s women use another kind of Rau Cau such as: Rau Cau with Flan inside, fruits Rau Cau.. that’s great in the hot weather  enjoy a dish of cool and beautiful Rau Cau.

 

Bia Hoi Ha Noi (Ha Noi Beer)


Bia Hoi is a special type of homemade beer, unpreserved, brewed daily and delivered in kegs to local businesses. Unlike canned or bottled beer, Bia hoi should be consumed the day after it leaves the factory. It’s brand-less and very cheap compared to Western-style beers.

 


Bia Hoi Ha Noi is a classic Vietnamese beer garden, perfect for late sunny afternoons. It’s well-shaded and has plenty of whirring fans to keep you cool.


Seaweed jelly with longan


This dish is also one of the best summer dishes in Viet Nam which is very delicious and nutritious. The seaweed jelly is brittle and chewy cooked with dried sweet and fragrant longan, making this dish really tasty and attractive. It can also help to lower body heat in summer as it is served with cool ice.


Cane – juice


Going on the hot sunshine is no better than stopping to drink a glass of cool cane juice. Sugar cane is squeezed out by machine and then can be drunk immediately without adding anything, can squeeze a little more sugar to make sugarcane taste better.

 


Trang Tien Ice-Cream


Trang Tien ice-cream has long been well-known with special flavor that makes Hanoians from generation to generation addicted. Visitors who have an opportunity to visit Ha Noi and enjoy Trang Tien ice-cream will not forget the distinctive feature of Ha Noi’s culinary culture of standing and eating ice-cream.

There are no chairs, no tables, buyers often queue a long line to buy ice cream. Once an order is successfully placed, customers usually rush outside to enjoy their ice cream in front of the shop. Despite the inconvenience, a lot of people come here every day.
