Under the plan, the Capital city sets out some key targets by 2020: The revenue of cultural industries will witness a gradual increase through each year; In each year during the 2016-2020 period, Ha Noi will produce 3-5 feature films and 4-6 scientific, animated and documentary films. The city will also upgrade and modernize movie theaters so as to attract more viewers. Annually, around 3,500-4,000 professional performances will be held and 15-20 new plays of traditional and modern theaters will be written and staged. By 2020, turnover of the performing arts industry will reach approximately US$ 5 billion.
The city will also gradually develop other cultural industries, including architecture, designing, publication, fine arts, photography, and exhibition, into important service sectors, making positive and effective contributions to the national socio-economic development.
In terms of orientations up to 2030, the capital city will strive to get a fast increase of revenue of the cultural sector; continue creating jobs and improving abilities of cultural enjoyment of local people. The movie industry will strive to produce 5 feature films, 10 documentary, 10 scientific, 10 cartoon films per year.
The art performance sector will strive to get the revenue of about US$ 8 million. Traditional and contemporary art sectors will build and perform more than 20 plays per year. Professional troupes will get over 4,000 performances.
Furthermore, the capital city will synchronously, modernly and sustainably develop cultural industries; strengthen applications of advanced technology; build trademarks of outstanding cultural services in the country.
