Plan on Vietnam Agricultural Product Week 2019 in France (08:41 05/06/2019)


HNP - The Hanoi People’s Committee has recently issued Plan No. 115/KH-UBND on organizing the Vietnam Agricultural Product Week 2019 at the Rungis International Market to promote the city’s tourism and cuisine in France.


Accordingly, the event is scheduled to be held on June 23 to July 27, 2019 in Paris, France, drawing the participation of from 15 and 20 businesses. 
 
It is an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to introduce Vietnam’s key agricultural products, such as fresh and dried fruits, a range of vegetables, canned drinks, processed farm produce, spices (cinnamon, anise, pepper), tea, coffee, cashew nuts, macadamia nuts, among others. 
 
In particular, the Vietnam Agricultural Product Week 2019 at the Rungis International Market will take place from June 24-26, 2019. 
 
A wide range of activities will be held during the week, such as advertising fresh farm produce to distributors, wholesalers and consumers at the Rungis Market; boosting connection among enterprises; disseminating promotion programs; among others. 
 
After the week, Vietnamese will continue improving products and sending samples to French partners towards the signing of memorandums of understanding on cooperation.
 
Furthermore, a conference on trade connection with Distribution Leader Price will be held on June 27, 2019.
 
Under the framework of the week, “Days of Vietnamese products” program at Thanh Binh Juene supermarket system will take place on June 28-30, 2019. Other activities will be launched to promote products, tourism and cuisine of Vietnam at French restaurants on June 28-30, 2019. 
 
This is an important event to boost commercial promotion activities to set up a stable and long-term consumption channel for Vietnamese products via distribution system in France; promote export of Vietnamese agricultural products into French and European markets; consolidate trade connection between Vietnamese and French businesses in an effort to promote tourism, culture and cuisine of Vietnam to various French people, and boost stronger ties in building an international wholesale market for farm produce in Hanoi.
