Accordingly, carrying out the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung at the Official Letter No. 8960/VPCP-CN dated September 19th, 2018 of the Government Office on the management of minerals in the country.
Regarding the above matter, the Municipal People’s Committee requested Departments of Natural Resources and Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development, Industry and Trade, Construction, Planning and Architecture, Transport, Police and People’s Committees of districts and towns, basing on functions and missions, to strictly implement Directive No. 03/CT-TTg dated March 30th, 2015 and directive documents of the Prime Minister, the Municipal People’s Committee on managing sand, gravel in rivers.
Besides, more efforts must be made to carry out a number of key missions, solutions, including: proactively coordinating with functional agencies under the Ministries of Industry and Trade, Natural Resources and Environment, Construction to review the mineral planning approved by the Municipal People’s Committee; enhancing inspection and drastically handling violation cases as regulated.
Besides, it is necessary to effectively implement the approved plan on protecting unexploited minerals; identified clearly responsibilities of relevant departments, agencies and localities for management and protection of unexploited minerals.
