Accordingly, the Municipal People’s Committee asked units, enterprises, establishments, and projects to pay more attention to construction processes, solutions to ensure occupational safety; strengthen the popularization and law dissemination of occupational safety and hygiene in line with occupations and fields.
Additionally, it is necessary to coordinate with the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs to check the compliance with regulations on labour safety and sanitation of local enterprises with high risks of occupational accidents; enhance the prevention of occupational diseases and accidents with the support of the fund for occupational accidents and diseases.
Similarly, People’s Committees of districts, suburban districts and towns are assigned to urge People’s Committees of communes, wards to give reports on occupational accidents for workers who do not have a legal labour contract; make statistics and give periodical, irregular reports on occupational accidents, technical problems causing the serious loss of labour safety and sanitation to related agencies.
Besides, local firms will enhance the implementation of occupational safety and hygiene; focus on checking and proactively preventing dangerous elements as well as occupational accidents; provide labour safety and hygiene knowledge and skills for workers; strengthen the popularization to encourage employees to well comply with working regulations and processes, and use personal protective equipments during the process of working so as to minimize occupational accidents, ensure workers’ safety, health and lives.
The Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs will take prime responsibility and coordinate with People’s Committees of districts, towns to enhance the popularization and instruct local enterprises to strictly implement the occupational accident prevention; urge and summarize results and give a report to the Municipal People's Committee.
