City to boost cooperation in combating smuggling, trade frauds, and counterfeit goods in health sector (16:47 03/08/2018)
Accordingly, the Standing Agency of the Municipal Steering Committee 389 will take prime responsibility and cooperate with the Department of Health, the Police Department and relevant sectors, units to drastically deploy Interdisciplinary Inspection Plan No. 19/KH-BCD 389/TP dated June 6th, 2018 on checking cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, functional foods, food supplements, clinics, medical equipments, beauty salons, massage facilities, healthcare and beauty facilities in the city; evaluate results, give recommendation and report to the Municipal People’s Committee in October, 2018.
Departments of Industry and Trade, Health, Science and Technology, Police, Customs, Taxation; People’s Committees of districts, suburban districts, towns; and relevant units will focus on implementing missions assigned at Official Letter No. 5172/BCT-QLTT dated June 29th, 2018 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on carrying out Directive No. 17/CT-TTg of the PM and Official Letter No. 2576/UBND-KT dated June 8th, 2018 of the Municipal People’s Committee on enhancing the direction and cooperation in combating smuggling, trade frauds, and counterfeit goods in health sector; give reports as regulated.
The Department of Information and Communications will take prime responsibility and coordinate with relevant units to request press agencies to strengthen the popularization of harms of fake pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, functional foods, medicinal herbs, and traditional medicines; timely prevent and remove false information and advertisement in trading smuggled goods, unknown origin goods, and poor quality goods in the area as regulated; publicize organizations, individuals violating regulations and praise individuals contributing to the fight against smuggling, trade frauds, production and trade of counterfeit goods, unknown origin or poor-quality goods.
The Viet Nam Fatherland Front’s Chapter of Ha Noi, political – social organizations and occupational associations will enhance supervision of compliance with legal regulations for state management agencies, organizations, individuals producing, trading fake goods, poor quality goods related to pharmaceutical products, cosmetics, functional foods, herbal and traditional medicines in the city; strengthen the popularization and knowledge dissemination of the goods among people.
Enterprises’ Associations, businesses will be responsible for giving full information of goods to management agencies and consumers; cooperate with law enforcement agencies to monitor consumption of goods and boost the alliance among manufacturers in combating smuggling, trade frauds, production and trade of counterfeit goods, unknown origin goods, poor-quality goods and infringements of intellectual property rights.
