According to the plan, 100% of portals of departments, sectors, agencies, People’s Committees of districts, towns shall improve the quality of socio-economic development and international information; Portals of departments, sectors will has its English version by 2020; 100% of officials in charge of portals and external information will enrich external information and foreign language every year.
Key external information channels are tasked to improve the quality of two-way information; proactively enhance the popularization to combat false and fake information from hostile forces; strengthen communication on the city’s policies to attract more investments of overseas Vietnamese as well as create favorable conditions for international friends to approach to the city’s information via diversified information channels; complete digital data introducing images of sectors, localities in both Vietnamese and foreign languages on portals.
Besides, the popularization on domestic and international mass media, such as: VTV4, VTC10, VOV5, CNN will be promoted to introduce Ha Noi’s images, history, culture, potentials and advantages to international friends.
Similarly, main external information channels of Ha Noi, including: Hanoimoi (New Ha Noi) Newspaper, Kinh te & Do thi (Economic & Urban Affairs) Newspaper, Ha Noi Portal; Ha Noi Radio and Television; Website of the Ha Noi Department of Foreign Affairs need improving the quality of their English versions.
Additionally, functional agencies and units are tasked to proactively give full information to representative agencies and international organizations in Viet Nam when they pay working visits to Ha Noi so as to take advantages of the support of international community.
Departments, sectors, Fatherland Front Committees and Party Committees – People’s Councils – People’s Committees of districts, towns are assigned to set up their annual plans; improve the quality of external information and open English versions of portals, websites; ask authorized agencies, radio systems to strengthen external information, especially people’s external activities, raise the awareness and promote peace, cooperation and friendship, etc.
