Over the past year, in addition to many directive documents, programs and projects, Ha Noi has drastically inspected and handled food safety violations via diversified forms and launched hotlines. After all, the city checked 111,166 turns of facilities and detected 26,310 violation cases, fined over VND 38 billion for 7,221 cases.
Besides, functional forces have focused on supervising and finding out risks of food contamination so as to prevent poisonings.
Ha Noi has also built and implemented many activities to ensure food safety, such as piloting the management of fruit stores in inner districts, implementing online public services at level 3, 4, cooperating with 13 provinces and cities in managing food safety and strengthening the coordination in food safety assurance between Ha Noi and provinces.
Attention has been paid to organizing training courses on food safety for 550 officials from the city to districts and communes; carrying out “Safe meal” program and setting up the website “buaanantoan.vn”; etc.
