The event saw the attendance of alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Quang Tung; National Assembly deputy Ngo Duy Hieu; and Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the district People’s Committee Doan Trung Tuan said that Tuong Phieu communal house is a famous ancient relic in Doai area. Through many remodeling phases, the communal house has still kept a large number of ancient objects in 17th and 18th centuries.
Especially, the Tuong Phieu communal house festival, one of the biggest festivals in ancient Doai area, has still retained traditional ritual performances in commemoration to Tan Saints’ great contributions, and good customs to pray for good harvests.
Chairman Doan Trung Tuan affirmed that through ups and downs in history, Tuong Phieu communal house has still been a cultural relic site which needs conserving.
Accordingly, Phuc Tho District will establish the Managing Board and the Protection Board to enhance the state managements of the cultural relic site; enhance the popularization of values of Tuong Phieu communal house as a national special relic site on mass media to raise people’s awareness of protecting and conserving the site.
After the ceremony, local residents carried out a palanquin procession to honour Duc Thanh Tan ( Tan Saints) as well as other rituals to wish peace, prosperity and happiness for people.
