Nam Tu Liem District: Deserving the strategic role in the Capital’s socio-economic development (19:17 31/03/2019)


HNP - The Party Committee - the People’s Council - the People’s Committee and the Fatherland Front Committee of Nam Tu Liem District organized a conference to review the outcomes of its development after five years of  establishment (April 1, 2014-2019) and receive the Third-Class Labour Order on March 30.

The event drew the participation of Hoang Trung Hai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; Tran Anh Tuan, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs; Nguyen Van Suu, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee; Nguyen Lan Huong, Head of the Municipal Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Fatherland Front Committee; Vu Duc Bao, Head of the Municipal Party Committee’s Commission for Organization; Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Chairwoman of the Municipal Confederation of Labour; Phung Thi Hong Ha, Vice Chairwoman of the Municipal People’s Council; among others. 
 
Over the past five years, Nam Tu Liem District has actively consolidated the entire political system from the district level to grassroots while strengthening the capacity, effectiveness, quality and efficiency of all-level authorities. 
 
Especially, the district has paid attention to building the Party and the political system and gained remarkable achievements.

Besides, Nam Tu Liem has made greater gains in economic development, infrastructure investment, land clearance, urban management, education, social welfare and administrative reform.
 
On the occasion, the district Party Committee, authority and people received Third-Class Labour Order.

On behalf of the city’s leaders, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Van Suu congratulated the district Party Committee, authority and people on the achievements after five years of establishment and construction. 
 
He also noted that the district is facing many challenges, especially in urban management, and urged the district to continue bringing into full play the great unity bloc as well as making more effort to create stronger breakthroughs in the socio-economic development. 
 
Firstly, Nam Tu Liem needs to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the political systems at all levels; maintain discipline and administrative order to reinforce the public trust in the local government, he stressed.

Permanent Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Suu underlined the need for the district to mobilize all available resource for synchronous and modern infrastructure development while actively cooperating with departments, and sectors to work out concrete mechanisms and policies for its sustainable economic development, contributing to improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of the capital city’s economy. 
 
It is necessary for the district to pay special attention to cultural developing, educating elegant and civilized Hanoians; maintain political order and social safety; ensure social welfare and social equality, and improve local residents’ living standards, among others, he urged. 
 
The Permanent Vice Chairman believed that officials, Party members and people of Nam Tu Liem will promote the unity and responsibility to overcome all challenges in an effort to build the district into a green, prosperous and civilized urban area, deserving the strategic role in the Capital’s socio-economic development.
