Hanoi strengthens communication on the campaign “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese products” (12:09 13/04/2019)


HNP - The Hanoi Steering Committee for the Campaign “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese products” on April 10 held a conference to review its performance in the first quarter of 2019.

In the first quarter, all-level Steering Committees, sectors and organizations have strengthened the dissemination of the campaign, gradually building the consumption culture of Vietnamese people in general and Hanoians in particular. 
 
State management bodies have served as advisors in removing difficulties for businesses while promoting the implementation of some programs on developing the city's key industrial products, support industry, industrial promotion, trademark and craft villages, contributing to creating favorable environment for domestic businesses to expand their production and trade as well as improve the competitiveness.
 
Vietnamese trade fairs have also attracted local residents to visit and purchase made-in-Vietnam goods. Meanwhile, enterprises have actively responded to the campaign; renewed advanced technologies and enhanced the application of science and technology in an effort to improve the quality of products and diversify product designs, and gradually protecting consumers’ rights. 
 
To better carry out the campaign in the coming time, the Municipal Steering Committee encouraged member agencies to focus on improving the efficiency of the communication work; enhancing the introduction of high quality Vietnamese commodities to consumers; and work out the 2019 “Vietnamese goods preferred  by consumers" voting program. 
 
It is necessary to take domestic products to consumers in districts, towns, industrial parks, processing zones throughout the city as well as distribution systems in foreign countries; strengthen supply - demand connections, links among producers, distributors and consumers; continue supporting the building of brand names of local products; and organize conferences on supply - demand connections, production, transportation and consumption. 
 
The Steering Committee also asked functional forces to tighten the market management to combat counterfeit and poor quality goods, smuggling of prohibited goods and commercial fraud.
