Son La Culture – Tourism Week 2018 opens in Ha Noi (18:58 21/10/2018)


HNP – The Son La Culture - Tourism Week 2018 in Ha Noi opened at the King Ly Thai To flower garden in Hoan Kiem district on October 19th. Co-organised by the two locales’ authorities, the event will last until October 21st.

The event saw the participation of Politburo member, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly (NA) Tong Thi Phong; former Politburo member, former Secretary of the Ha Noi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi; member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Chairman of the NA’s Council for Ethnic Affairs Ha Ngoc Chien; PCC member, Chairwoman of the NA’s Committee for Social Affairs Nguyen Thuy Anh; PCC member, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ha Noi Party Committee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang; PCC member, Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung; Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front’s Ha Noi Chapter Vu Hong Khanh; Standing Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan; Secretary of the Son La province Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Hoang Van Chat; and Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee Cam Ngoc Minh.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Son La province People’s Committee Cam Ngoc Minh affirmed that the Son La Culture – Tourism Week 2018, with a wide range of cultural activities, is a chance to introduce the cultural characteristics of the northern mountainous province to Hanoians and tourists as well as bring into full play potentials, advantage to attract more investments, set up outstanding tourism products, and create the strong development of tourism sector in Son La and the northwest region, thus contributing to enhancing the cooperation between Son La and Ha Noi.

 

The week draws the participation of more than 100 actors, artists from different ethnic groups.
 
The event features various cultural and sporting activities, such as performances of the Pang A Ban festival by La Ha ethnic minorities, tradition Thai dances and a costumes show by the ethnic Thai, Mong, Dao and Kho Mu people, as well as traditional folk games.
 
Besides, in the framework of the week, many attractive events will be held to introduce provincial culture and tourism so as to lue more travellers to Son La with unique tourism products imbued with indigenous ethnic identities. 
 
At the opening ceremony, Hanoians and domestic, foreign tourists enjoyed a special art program titled “Son La -  The legendary countryside”, and  joined in folk dances.
