In attendance were Nguyen Duc Chung, member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee; Phung Thi Hong Ha, Vice Chairwoman of the Municipal People’s Council, and leaders of departments, sectors.
At the meeting, voters agreed with the PCC’s nomination of General Secretary, Nguyen Phu Trong, as the candidate for the presidency and hoped that he will take on the great responsibility to serve the Party, nation and people.

Additionally, they highly appreciated the PCC’s promulgation of new regulations on the responsibility of Party cadres and members to set an example, especially members of the Politburo, the Secretariat and the PCC.
Local voters expressed their support for the Party’s anti-corruption drive over the past year. They also voiced their concern over issues in the city.
On behalf of the city leaders, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung answered some voters’ questions under his authority.
Speaking at the meeting, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong acknowledged straightforward opinions of voters and assured that all of their opinions will be forwarded to the National Assembly for consideration.
Expressing his thanks for voters’ support for the PCC’s nomination, the Party chief emphasized that the nomination was discussed democratically, responsibly and supported by public opinion in the country and abroad.
However, the National Assembly will be the decision maker, he added.
