Accordingly, it is expected that value added growth rate of the trade sector is 10 to 12% per year on average. Added value of the trade sector makes up 17 to 19% of Ha Noi’s GRDP. Total retail and service revenue reaches growth rate of 12%-13% per year through the civilized and modern services and trade.
It is expected that in 2020, Ha Noi will have a network of wholesale and retail establishments including 5 shopping centers, of which one center at regional level, two large-sized centers, one medium-sized, one small-sized centers, one complexes of trade and services; two super malls, 1,000 convenient stores, and 1,000 vending machines in public places.
In order to realize this target, the city will take following actions:
- Integrating planning of wholesale, retail network in Ha Noi to 2020, orientation to 2030 into the planning of Ha Noi according to Law on Planning 2017; developing the system (chain) of commercial centers, supermarkets, convenient stores, automatic stores and outlets; developing the system of wholesale markets, traditional markets, and small markets; fulfilling the tasks of changing market management, trading and exploitation in Ha Noi; developing logistic service and infrastructure system; considering, building the center of distributing industrial, agricultural and consumption products and goods; studying and developing system of goods introduction centers and goods auction centers;
- Implementing plan on developing e-commerce, including online trading and online services; implementing the plan on developing logistic service; launching the system of automatic vending machines and food trucks in public places; reforming, arranging trading activities in traditional markets and wholesale markets; developing the Department of Commodity Exchange or Center of Commodity Exchange (subject to actual conditions); studying and implementing model of sharing economy model in particular fields, such as online trading, logistics, delivery, tourism, communications and transport.
