The event saw the attendance of Vietnamese Ambassador in Italia Cao Chinh Thien, representatives of Italian Ministry of Economic Development, around 70 representatives of tourism businesses, media agencies, travel bloggers, etc.
Addressing the program, VNAT Vice Director Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong said that Viet Nam’s friendly people and stunning landscapes always welcome Italian tourists. Along with convenience and safety, tourists can enjoy diverse tourism products for visitors of all ages.
She underlined that after 44 years of diplomatic relations, the cooperation relationship between Viet Nam and Italy in many fields has been positively developed. She expressed her hope that, in 2018, on the occasion of the Viet Nam-Italy 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties, the two sides will further promote cooperation activities, promote tourism development, commensurate with the potential and long-lasting friendship of the two countries.
Under the framework of the event, the VNAT introduced the tourism potential, policies as well as tourism services, products of Viet Nam to the participants.
Since the two countries set up their strategic partnership in 2013, the number of Italian tourists to Viet Nam has risen by 10-15 percent each year on average.
In 2016, Viet Nam received more than 51,000 Italian visitors, up 72 percent from 2015.
