Over the past year, the Municipal Women’s Association has effectively implemented key missions. Particularly, in terms of supporting members sustainably develop their economy, building new style rural areas and civilized urban, the Association has directed its subordinate units to carry out the movement “The whole country joins hands for the poor” via numerous practical activities; jointly reviewed the list of poor and near poor households to give assistance.
Additionally, Women’s Associations at all levels have given assistance to members with the total amount of over VND 4.8 billion; jointly opened 1,043 training courses of technology transfer for 93,942 turns of members.
Besides, the Association has jointly organized vocational training courses and introduced jobs to 24,834 labors.
The Association has also positively encouraged members to take part in environmental protection, building new style rural areas and civilized urban and gained remarkable achievements.
At the conference, the Association launched the emulation movement 2018 under the theme “the Capital’s women unite to improve the Association's operational efficiency and excellently complete missions in 2018”.

Addressing the event, Vice Chairwoman of the Ha Noi People’s Council Phung Thi Hong Ha praised the achievements gained by Women’s Associations at all levels over the past year. She agreed with key missions outlined by the Women’s Association and emphasized that, to fulfill targets and tasks in 2018, the Association will continue to improve the quality of the communication work to encourage members to well implement guidelines, policies of the Party and laws of the State, the city’s resolutions on socio – economic development.
Similarly, she asked the Association to effectively carry out emulation movement, the campaign “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality and lifestyle” in association with implementing missions of the Capital’s socio-economic development.
It is necessary for the Association to strengthen technology transfer and training; effectively perform the working theme “Improving the capacity and operational efficiency of the political system”, she added.
The Vice Chairwoman suggested that the Association’s officials should improve their role and responsibilities in performing public duties and the Association should implement the campaign of building elegant and civilized Hanoians, contributing to creating the Capital’s beautiful image.
At the conference, Chairwoman of the Ha Noi Women’s Association Tran Thi Phuong Hoa received Third-Class Labor Medal of the President. Outstanding collectives and individuals also received certificates of merit of the Viet Nam Women’s Association, the Municipal People’s Committee.
