Developing tourism in Soc Son, Ba Vi outskirt districts
By the middle of May, 2018, many tourist agencies in collaboration with the Paris-based Agency for International Cooperation in Viet Nam made a survey on destinations in Soc Son District. The survey pointed out that the district’s great potentials have been tapped, such as Soc temple, Non Nuoc pagoda, Ban Rom ecological area, Dong Quan lake, Doi mountain, Green valley, Ham Lon mountain, etc.
In addition, the traffic system form Ha Noi’s central to the above-mentioned destinations is so convenient for travelers.
According to Mr. Emmanuel Cerise, Director of the Paris-based Agency for International Cooperation in Viet Nam, coming back Soc Son after 15 years, he was especially impressed with its beautiful landscape which has been retained for a long time, namely, Thanh Giong statue, Buddhist academy, Non Nuoc pagoda, etc.
With many advantages of tourism development, but Soc Son has not yet been developed strongly. Doan Van Sinh, Head of the district Division of Culture – Information, said that the locality has been facing many difficulties and challenges to develop tourism in the area. In the coming time, the district will focus on special tourism products to attract more tourists.
Similarly, Ba Vi has spectacular natural landscapes and scenery, but the tourism has not grown enough. In recent years, tourist agencies have developed one-day tours. Tourists can visit many waterfalls such as: Khoang xanh, Ao Vua, Thac Nga, Suoi Ngoc; climb Ba Vi mountain and on the top of the mountain and visit the temple of President Ho Chi Minh- the national hero of Viet Nam.
However, the tourism has not grown enough in both Ba Vi and Soc Son districts.
Phung Quang Thang, Director of the Hanoitourist, said that Ha Noi should focus on developing destinations attracting a large number of travelers, such as Ha Noi’s Old Quarter, Van Mieu (Temple of Literature) – Quoc Tu Giam (first university of Viet Nam), Duong Lam ancient village, Bat Trang and Van Phuc traditional craft villages, etc.
Expanding tourism areas
According to Mr. Phung Quang Thang, the city should also connect destinations to take advantages of outskirt districts to boost tourism development.
“Along with destinations in the inner city, Ha Noi should develop the tourism in the suburb areas which have precious natural resources, such as Ba Vi, Soc Son, Chuong My, etc. to increase the number of tourists arriving in Ha Noi”, Luong Van Tuan, Director of tehe Vietbeauty Company, noted that.
Recently, Ha Noi has made breakthroughs to develop its tourism. The innovations are expected to help Hanoi’s tourism sector to become spearhead economic sector, bringing high profits to the capital.
