At the reception, New Zealand Ambassador to Vietnam, Mrs. Wendy Matthews expressed her delight at the positive progress of the cooperation between New Zealand and Viet Nam in general, Ha Noi in particular in fields of education and training, information technology (IT).
She also emphasized that the two sides have had great potentials to promote the cooperation mechanism in fields of education, smart city construction and IT development, etc.
On the occasion, the diplomat expected that the two sides will further share information and boost the cooperation in all fields in the future.
In turn, Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Doan Toan said that the capital city is home to over 10 million citizens.
Currently, the city has been focusing on dealing with burning issues, including environmental pollution, traffic infrastructure, smart city, education and training so as to develop high-quality human resources to promote its development, he added.
The city leader also noted that in terms of developing education and training, Ha Noi has made a plan on improving the education quality in the area. With many experiences in education, he hoped, New Zealand can strengthen the coordination in the field.
Besides, he also said that Ha Noi has been enhancing the IT application in smart city, traffic and data digitization, online public services at level 3, 4 in order to create favorable conditions for local residents and enterprises.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Doan Toan affirmed that Ha Noi will create the best conditions for enterprises of the two countries to promote their investment cooperation.
On behalf of Ha Noi leaders, he invited Mrs. Wendy Matthews and New Zealand enterprises to take part in Ha Noi Investment Promotion Conference 2018 which will take place in June, 2018.
