Accordingly, the city will practically and effectively strengthen communication, popularization of the call by the Standing Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front’s Ha Noi chapter on encouraging local people to give donations to support people in south-central region via mass media, conferences, etc; launch the fund-raising and encourage organizations, agencies, units, enterprises, entrepreneurs, philanthropists and households to voluntarily respond to the call to help flood victims to overcome consequences caused by the storm.
Particularly, each of the public servants, employees will donate at least one-day of salary to help the victims overcome the devastating consequences of the storm, to promptly restore production and soon stabilize their lives.
The fund-raising will be launched from November 8 to December 8, 2017. Over the past days, the storm Damrey has caused serious human and property losses in provinces of Khanh Hoa, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Lam Dong, Phu Yen, Kon Tum, and Dak Lak, etc. By 6.00 P.M, November 7, at least 89 people have been killed, another 18 remained missing and 174 others injured; 1,498 houses have been collapsed and 124,321 others have been damaged in the storm and floods.
