Inaugurating “Ha Noi – Amsterdam Traditional Space” (21:30 23/11/2017)


HNP – On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Vietnamese Teacher’s Day (November 20, 1982 – 2017), on November 20, the Ha Noi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted organized a ceremony to inaugurate its "Ha Noi - Amsterdam Traditional Space". The event saw the attendance of Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue; Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung; Head of National Assembly’s Petition Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai.

At the ceremony, Headmistress of the Ha Noi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted Le Thi Oanh said that with the desire to mark the meaningful moments in the history of the Ha Noi-based school, the idea of building the traditional space was initiated in 2015. The space is a combination of information and materials recreating the formation and development of the Ha Noi-Amsterdam High School.

 

The space also plays as a symbol of solidarity and contribution of wisdom, talents and efforts of generations of the school’s teachers and students.

 

In addition, the Headmistress launched the movement of good studying – good teaching to all officials, teachers, staffs and students and hoped them to make more efforts to bring Ha Noi into “high quality education map” in the world.

 

On the occasion, Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue presents flowers to the school, expressing his belief in the teachers and students’ determination.

Addressing the ceremony, Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung affirmed that the Ha Noi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted is one of the qualified education establishments of the capital city and the country. Over the past 32 years, along with the city’s strong development, the school has unceasingly grown and built the tradition of good teaching, good studying.

 

Thus, the school honorably received the Third Class Labour Order in 1995, the Second Class Labour Order in 2000, the First Class Labour Order in 2005, the Third Class Independence Order in 2009, the Second Class Independence Order in 2014.

 

On behalf of the city’s leaders, the Chairman praised the gained achievements of teachers and students of the the Ha Noi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. He stressed that with modern infrastructure system and elite teachers, the school would promote the gained achievements to make greater gains in following school years.

 

The Chairman also noted that students should be well aware of the achievement gained by previous generations as well as doing their best to learn hard, contributing to building the capital city and the country.
