VND 750 billion for socio-economic development in mountainous ethnic monitory area (11/09/2017)
HNP - City’s inter-disciplinary mission including Authority of Planning and Investment, Department of Transport, Department of Finance, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Committee of Ethnic Affairs has recently checked implementation of Municipal People’s Committee Plan 138/KH-UBND dated July 15, 2016 entitled “Developing socio-economy in mountainous ethnic monitory area of Ha Noi in the 2016-2020 period” (Plan 138 ) in the districts of Ba Vi, Thach That, Quoc Oai, Chuong My, and My Duc.
According to Municipal People’s Committee Plan 138, total investment for projects on socio-economic development in mountainous ethnic monitory area is VND 2,324 billion; there are 224 projects in seven fields, including VND 14 billion for eight health projects, VND 491 billion for 56 irrigation projects, VND 18 billion for four water projects, VND 102.5 billion for 14 culture projects, VND 328 billion for 35 schools, over VND 1,288 billion for 104 traffic projects, and VND 7 billion for other projects.
According to Resolution 18/NQ-HDND dated December 6, 2016 of Municipal People’s Council on mid-term investment plan, list of key works and list of prioritized fields of socio-economic infrastructure for the 2016-2020 period; total expenses of VND 1 trillion are given to 69 projects in three fields, including VND 7 billion for a health project, around VND 717 billion for 40 traffic projects, VND 173 billion for 19 school projects, and VND 103.9 billion for 9 irrigation projects. By June 30, Ha Noi provides VND 750 billion to realize Plan 138.
Pursuant to the assessment, People’s Committees of Ba Vi, Thach That, Quoc Oai, Chuong My and My Duc districts give instructions and implement Plan 138 strictly. They also conduct popularization, encourage people to join hands for programs and investment projects in localities, and assign Management Board of Investment, Construction Projects and People’s Committees of communes to be project investors. Work load, progress, disbursement and quality are ensured according to plan. Some works are completed and put into use.
Based on results of inspection, the inter-disciplinary mission requests Municipal People’s Committee to increase investment and provide sufficient capitals for programs and projects under Plan 138, so that they will be put into operation soon.
