Ha Noi honors 84 outstanding valedictorians in 2017 (11/10/2017)
HNP - A ceremony was held at Van Mieu–Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) on October 8 to honor 84 outstanding valedictorians graduated in 2017 from universities and academies located in the capital.
The event saw the attendance of Politburo member, Secretary of the Ha Noi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai; Vice Chairman of the NA Committee for Culture, Education, Youth and Children Pham Tat Thang; Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Huu Do; Secretary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Nguyen Long Hai, among others.
In recent years, the capital city has issued many important policies, timely promoted, fostered and attracted high quality human resources.
Secretary of the Ha Noi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai and Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Huu Do present certificates of merit to outstanding valedictorians.
Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy praised and congratulated the achievements of 84 valedictorians, adding that they are typical representatives for young intellectuals who are dynamic, creative, and passionate about learning and research and actively participating in numerous community activities.
This is an opportunity and conditions for them to accomplish their dreams, contributing to the development of the capital city, making Ha Noi become a start-up business and creative center of the country, he added.
He suggested the valedictorians continue to make efforts in training and research in order to achieve more success and contribute to the capital’s development.

Over the past 14 years, around 1,533 valedictorians have been honored and received Certificates of Merit of the Municipal People’s Committee.
Among the 84 honored valedictorians, 34 of them have good academic records while 50 received outstanding results.
They had impressive academic records in various fields, including engineering, culture and society, economics, pedagogy, medicine and pharmaceutics and military affairs.
